The love story revolves around the most unusual triangle. Thomas Henderson, an American pacifist during World War II, his fiance Julia, who travels half way around the world to bring him home, and the inspiring Bengali doctor and spiritual teacher, Doctor Thakur, who offers him the most unusual path to redemption.

Meet Thomas Henderson, the central character of the musical "Ocean in a Teacup". We follow his journey from a young idealist in Rocky River Ohio, to a Red Cross medic serving in the jungle war in Burma, to a seeker looking for a path to redemption after betraying his vow never to kill.

Meet Doctor Thakur. Thakur means spiritual teacher. He offers our hero a unique path to redemption thru loving service to the hungry and sick during the Great Famine of Bengal in 1943.
